Race Kit

Where can I collect my race kit & cap?

For all locations, dates and times to collect your race kit and cap, please visit this page.

Can I collect race kits for other participants?

Yes, however you will require a copy of their e-ticket to be able to collect on their behalf

Can I have my race kit & cap posted to me?

Main Event:

No, race kits and caps for our Main Event can only be collected from our collection points.

Virtual Event:

Yes, if you selected to get your Cap shipped during the registration process, it will be shipped.

No, if you selected to pick-up your Cap from our collection points during the registration process. If you need to change this, please contact us to arrange $8.90 shipping.

On the Day

Is there a baggage storage area?

Clothing items/belongings (no valuables) can be left in the baggage area which is located in the Athletics Building at the car park end of the Bill Paterson Oval.  To drop off your baggage be wearing your race bib as this will act as your identification.  On collection of your baggage you will need to supply the attendant with your bib number.

Event Day - Will there be aid/water stations along the course?

Yes, the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park prides itself on providing water stations every 1KM in all events.  The water stations are manned by local secondary schools.  Only water will be provided at water stations.  Water and fruit will be provided at the finish area.

Where do I run?

  • Main event: Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park
  • Virtual event: You can choose to run (or walk) your distance anywhere, indoors on a treadmill or outdoors around your neighborhood, around your local park, or wherever!

What time does the event start?

Are there any toilets located along the course?

Toilets are located along the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park course at the 2KM, 3KM & 4.5KM points.  Toilets are also located in the carpark of the Bill Paterson Oval, behind the blue building at the carpark end of Bill Paterson Oval & next to the cricket pitch.

Can I push my baby/small child in a pram whilst I am participating?

Yes, prams are permitted in the 5KM Run, 5KM Walk and 2.5KM events but must start at the back behind all other participants.

Can I run/walk with my dog?

Dogs are not permitted to participate in the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park. Service dogs permitted.

Can I have someone ride along me while I run or walk?

No, due to the narrowness of the course and the large numbers of participation, cyclists are not permitted.

COVID Safe Practices

What if there is changes in COVID Restrictions?

  • When registering, attendees are required to confirm if they will be fully vaccinated by the event date. Should restrictions change, we will notify attendees via email
  • We will be monitoring all government advice and regulations regularly and will continue to work with all relevant authorities prior to the event and on event night to ensure that the event is as safe as possible.
  • We will communicate with all participants regularly as to any changes they should expect or any new rules and regulations around the event.
  • If the event is cancelled, the organisers will automatically refund all registrations minus a $15 processing fee.
  • Please note all donations processed by Ipswich Hospital Foundation are non-transferable and non-refundable.

I have COVID / I am a close contact to someone with COVID- what do I do?

  • Stay home if you are unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath and get tested.
  • If you chose to forfeit your entry and donate the funds to charity- The Ipswich Hospital Foundation appreciates your kind donation.
  • For any COVID related refund request, they will need to be submitted prior to 11:59pm Wednesday 20th July. We will refund attendee minus $15 processing fee.
  • Please note all donations processed by Ipswich Hospital Foundation are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Do I need to wear a face mask?

We encourage attendees to wear a mask where possible. As this in an outdoor event with covid safe practises in place, it is not a requirement to be wearing a mask for the entirety of the event.

We also encourage attendees to carry a mask on them at all times.

Do I need to be fully vaccinated or check in?

Upcoming easing of restrictions – 14 April 2022

From 1am AEST Thursday 14 April 2022, the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events will end. Information can be found here

What COVID-Safe practices does Park2Park have in place?

  • Park2Park is working with all the relevant authorities to ensure we are able to deliver the safest event possible for everyone involved
  • QR Codes may be utilised on the day for check in
  • Encourage attendees to download the Check in Qld App
  • Stay home if you are unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath.
  • Hand Sanitiser and Hand Washing Facilities are available around the Event Precinct and Course.
  • Maintain Social Distancing of 1.5m from others.
  • Masks will be available on the day
  • We encourage attendees to wear a mask where possible
  • Staggered start times to reduce the number of people on site at any time
  • Event cleaners to ensure all high touch point areas are cleaned frequently
  • Extra toilets to reduce queuing times
  • Businesses have the right to refuse service and must insist that anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms leaves the venue. This applies to our event precinct.

Virtual Event

What is a virtual fun run?

A virtual fun run (or walk) is an event that can be completed from absolutely any location you choose, indoors or outdoors! You can run or walk at your own pace, whenever you like, whenever you like over the two-week event: 23 July until 6 August.

What are the Virtual Advanced & Intermediate Triple Events?

Now you have two weeks to complete your distance, why not challenge yourself with one of our Triples?

The Intermediate Triple includes three of our iconic distances:

  • 2.5km
  • 5km
  • 10km

The Advanced Triple includes three of our biggest distances:

  • 5km
  • 10km
  • Half Marathon (21km)

You can choose to run your three distances anytime over the two-week virtual event.

Do Virtual Events count towards the 10-year club?

Yes, it sure does! Consider Virtual Ipswich Hospital Foundation Park2Park Events like any other event. If you think you qualify for the 10-year Club, send us a message on our Contact Us page.

Can I change events?

Do I have to register my baby/small child who will be in a pram?

You do not have to register any small children who will be pushed in a pram. All children who will be running or walking in the event regardless of their age must be registered.

When will my results be available?

Results will be available as soon as possible after the completion of the event.  Stay tuned to this website for the results link.

How does someone join my team?

Joining a team is super simple. During the registration process, search or create a team – it’s that easy!

Can I get a refund?

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are non refundable for change of mind.

If you wish to transfer to a shorter distance, follow the link found in your confirmation email to change your event.
