What's new in 2024?
The Park2Park will look different this year:
While there are no participation medals in 2024, there are some amazing fundraising incentives as you reach milestones, such a drink bottles, limited-edition Park2Park socks from Steigen and exclusive Park2Park running shirts!
This year, runners will not be timed - you can still time yourself to see if you can beat your personal best - but there are no official race times recorded.
There are also no running placement medals, no prize money for running and we will no longer include thehalf marathon, the relay. or 2.5km course.
Why has Park2Park changed in 2024?
We listened to your feedback and we have made some changes…
This year we are back with the best parts you all told us you love about Park2Park.
So we can make the biggest impact yet, we have made some exciting changes to the iconic annual fun run.
Park2Park 2024 is focused on raising as much as possible, allowing Ipswich Hospital Foundation help West Moreton Health with healthcare initiatives that will benefit the entire community.
Is Park2Park a timed event?
Timing
Picture this: as you cross the finish line, clocks will be there to mark the moment, but don't worry about personal times - we're all in this together!
This year the event is all about rallying as a community, pushing our limits, and creating positive change. So, we're swapping out the solo showdown for a celebration of teams and camaraderie! This means, no individual timings will be tracked.
Are there rewards for fundraising?

Walk, run or skip, there is no celebrating who finishes the quickest, instead, we will be celebrating our fundraising heroes and there are some great prizes for the highest achieving ‘Champions of Change’
Raise $25 to score a Park2Park water bottle

Raise $120 to get an official Park2Park 2024 shirt
What courses can I choose?
Courses
This year, we have focused on enhancing our most popular courses. Therefore, there are fewer courses to choose from this year. There is the 5KM or 10KM distances, plus the Kid’s Challenge (a fun 400m obstacle course designed for ages 3-12).
Where is Park2Park held?
Park2Park will start and finish on the Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park.
How much does Park2Park cost?
Park2Park pricing varies depending on the course that you choose to participate in. Prices range from FREE for the Mascot Marathon, up to $80 for the 10km run! See specific pricing information here.
How do I fundraise for Park2Park?
Your fundraising page will be activated automatically. Please see our Fundraising pages for more information on how you can elevate your fundraising activity or click HERE for some tips.
Can I donate to Park2Park without joining the course?
Yes, certainly! Visit the IHF website to donate.
What are the expectations for runners and participants at Park2Park?
To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, participants should:
- Position yourself at the start line relative to your ability and your goal finish time.
- Keep to the left of the course to allow people to pass on the right.
- Do not stop or change direction suddenly.
- Be courteous to your fellow participants.
- Always follow the directions of all officials, marshals, volunteers, and emergency services
- No rollerblading, cycling, skating, or skipping.
- Prams, strollers, and wheelchairs should start at the back of the start area.
What else is on at Park2Park?
Take a stroll around the Park2Park Mall in the centre of the Event Precinct to explore what local businesses and organisations have to offer. You will find heaps of information, kid’s activities and food and beverage stalls.
Can I change events?

If I cannot participate, am I able to transfer my entry to another person?
Yes! Please contact the Park2Park team at events@park2park.com.au
Do I have to register my baby/small child who will be in a pram?
You do not have to register any small children who will be pushed in a pram. All children who will be running or walking in the event regardless of their age must be registered.
How does someone join my team?
Joining a team is super simple. During the registration process, search or create a team – it’s that easy!
Can I get a refund?
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are non refundable for change of mind.
You are able to transfer courses or transfer your registration to another person. Contact: events@park2park.com.au
Can I have my event kit posted to me?
Yes, when registering you can select optional postage for $10 or pick on from Limestone Park on event weekend.
Volunteering at Park2Park
First, we want to say a big ‘thank you’ for being an Ipswich Hospital Foundation volunteer! We truly appreciate your help, support and dedication.
Now that you’ve joined the team, here is all the information you need:
What happens on the day?
You will receive an official volunteer pack which will include:
- instructions for the event.
- a hi-vis vest.
- volunteer lanyard.
- light refreshments.
- meal/coffee vouchers to use during your shift.
Important Information
On the day, if you feel unwell with cold / flu like symptoms, please self-assess whether you still feel well enough to attend with a mask. If you are too unwell to participate at all, please notify Volunteer Manager on 0402337010 or volunteers@ihfoundation.org.au ASAP
What to bring on the day:
- Warm casual clothing and comfortable enclosed shoes.
- IHF Volunteer blue shirt (if you have one), otherwise one will be provided.
- We recommend layering clothing as it will be cold first thing in the morning but will warm up during the day.
- Average July temperatures in Ipswich
- 5am 2-5*C
- 10am 15-18*C
- 1pm 18-23*C
- Bring a hat and sunscreen.
- Foldable camp chair if you wish to sit down during quiet periods.
