Ipswich Hospital Foundation is putting the call out to all volunteers!
Volunteering at the annual IHF Park2Park is a great way to connect with the community, meet new friends, catch up with old friends and be part of something truly special.
IHF volunteers are imperative in ensuring that participants remain safe on the course, contact help if needed, and provide support and encouragement along the route.
Volunteering Opportunities
SATURDAY 27TH JULY 2024
COURSE AND EVENT SETUP
9:00am to 1:00pm
Setup of signage, marquees, fencing, tables, and chairs following WH&S procedures. This will require physically fit volunteers as this will involve manual lifting of up to 15kg.
RACE KIT COLLECTION AND REGISTRATION ATTENDANTS
Saturday 27 July to 10:00am to 1:00pm
You will be manning our Registration Desks by registering new participants electronically and taking payments or handing out pre-packed race kits. This role requires volunteers to be tech-savvy and comfortable using EFTPOS systems.
SUNDAY 28TH JULY 2024
WATER STATION SETUP AND PACK DOWN
6:00am to 10:00am
Driving the course and setting up signage and tables for the water stations around the course.
COURSE MARSHALLING
6.30am to 10:00am
Stationed around the course, you will assist with general information enquiries, directing participants around the course and encouraging participants as they pass.
CLOAK ROOM ATTENDANTS
6.00am to 11:00am
Manning the cloakroom, you will receipt participant baggage and stow away in designated area. Return baggage on participant collection with relevant token shown.

28 July 6:00am to 9:30am

7:00am to 10:30am
Manning the water station and handing out bottles of water to participants in the finishing area.
FRUIT STATION ATTENDANTS (FINISHER’S ZONE)
7:30am to 10:30am
Manning the fruit station, cutting up fruit following COVID Safe requirements and restocking for participants in the finishing area.
ALL DAY FLOATER VOLUNTEERS
6:30 am to 12:00pm
Assisting the staff with ensuring the day runs smoothly for all, may involve assisting one of the above roles or helping staff manage the stage, mall or registration areas.
IHF MALL STALL ATTENDANTS
6:30am to 12:00pm
Managing the Ipswich Hospital Foundation Mall Stall, your role will be to encourage people attending the mall to ‘Spin to Win’ and try their luck at winning some IHF merchandise. This role will also require you to be familiar with IHF and the various programs we run.
COURSE AND EVENT PRECINCT PACK DOWN
12:00pm to 2:00pm
